Do you want a chance to ask a political candidate a question about their policies, and hold them to account for the promises they have made? Now is your chance! On the 20th April 2015 residents will have the chance to question and challenge four of the parliamentary candidates for the seat of Bristol West. This seat is one of the most talked about in the country and one of the most difficult to call in the polls so who you vote for could really make a difference.
Using a unique format, the night will be led by people from the floor. With local people sharing their experiences on key issues, from housing to health care, candidates will be expected to give clear answers on policies. We will not accept roundabout answers.
Four local groups from Bristol (ACORN, The Bristol Cable, Ujima Radio and Bristol Somali Media Group) who work in this diverse constituency have teamed up to organise this event which will be broadcast live on Ujima Radio and will also be filmed for each groups website.
If you plan to come along please RSVP below! Free ticket reservations for the event have not yet been released but will be closer to the date. This is so that we can provide space for initial offline reservations from residents who do not have internet access in order to provide fair representation from different social groups in Bristol West. The candidates attending are: Stephen Williams MP (Liberal Democrat), Darren Hall (Green Party), Thangam Debbonaire (Labour) and Claire Hiscott (Conservative).
